Officer James Bristol - On Sunday, August 2, 2020, Officers James Bristol responded to 1206 N. James St. for a criminal mischief complaint. Upon arrival, Officer Bristol learned that graffiti had been spray painted on several vehicles in the area as well as on several items and structures at nearby Franklyn’s Field. He secured photographs of the graffiti. Officer Bristol contacted IT Director Robert Pinti and was provided with copies of the pole camera footage that covers Franklyn’s Field. After reviewing the footage and during his investigation, Officer Bristol was able to determine the identity of a suspect. Through an interview with this suspect, he was able to determine other individuals involved in the crimes. Through Officer Bristol’s thorough and comprehensive investigation, he was able to identify all persons involved in committing these crimes. Those responsible have either been charged criminally or are awaiting a summons from Rome City Court to appear on the related charges.
